Studiowide recently had a blast working on an exciting video production project for Heineken in the Netherlands. As Europe’s top brewer and one of the biggest in the world, Heineken needed a creative way to communicate their Daily Control System to all employees—and what better way than through video?
Having already collaborated with Heineken on a similar project at one of their UK bottling facilities, we were thrilled when they asked us to hop over to the Netherlands and bring their vision to life at the brewery in ’s-Hertogenbosch.
Our mission? To capture Heineken’s people in action, showcasing just how essential their Daily Control System is to keeping everything running smoothly. But, of course, no epic project comes without a few hurdles.
First, we had to navigate the logistics of getting our entire kit safely across borders. Once we touched down, we had the challenge of getting from the airport to the hotel and then to the brewery—all while ensuring our gear arrived in one piece. But we love a good adventure, and that was just the start!
Next up: the location itself. Picture this—a bustling brewery, with machines and bottles clinking and clattering 24/7. Capturing clear audio in this lively environment was critical to making sure the messages of the Daily Control System came through loud and clear. With so many moving parts and people involved, we had to be on our A-game to capture everything seamlessly.
Thanks to our experience working on similar projects, we were well-prepared!
We meticulously planned every detail, ensuring we had the right equipment to handle the challenges.
Once we had the shooting schedule locked down, we got to work setting up the perfect lighting and audio for each scene. Our goal? To blend in with the environment, capturing everything we needed without disrupting the workflow. We used headset microphones to get as close to the action as possible, ensuring crystal-clear audio—even in the midst of all the noise. With up to five people involved in meetings at any given time, we had multiple mics rolling, all of which needed to be flawlessly synced in post-production.
Over two days, we filmed from dawn till dusk, capturing the essence of the Daily Control System in action.
Back in the studio, we dove straight into editing, sending rough cuts to the Heineken team based on the storyboard. Regular feedback sessions helped us refine the final product.
The result? A series of videos that not only met but exceeded Heineken’s expectations. The management teams were over the moon with the quality and professionalism we brought to the project. They especially appreciated our flexibility in working around staff schedules and production timing, ensuring everything went off without a hitch.
In the end, this project was a huge success—and a whole lot of fun. We’re proud to have helped Heineken share the importance of their Daily Control System with their team in such an engaging and dynamic way. Cheers to that!
