E.S. Walton, one of Liverpool’s oldest independent financial advisers, covers all areas of finance with a comprehensive range of services. We previously had the pleasure of redesigning their website during a brand refresh, where we also took corporate headshots of the team for their About page. Recently, E.S. Walton approached us again for a brand new website and a general refresh of their brand image. With new team members onboard, they needed updated corporate headshots to keep everything consistent and polished.
The goal for the updated headshots was to bring a personal touch to the ‘About’ page, helping both prospective and existing clients put a friendly face to the name.
The challenge? We had limited time and space to work with. We needed to set up a temporary photography studio right in E.S. Walton’s office, where staff could easily pop in, get their photo taken, and go back to work with minimal disruption. The only space available was a downstairs meeting room—so we had to get creative!
To capture these professional headshots, we used a tried-and-true three-point lighting setup. Here’s how it works:
One essential tip when shooting portraits is to capture a ‘glint’ in the subject’s eyes—those little reflections that make the eyes sparkle and bring the photo to life. After all, the eyes are the windows to the soul!
The results? The new headshots look fantastic, and E.S. Walton was thrilled with how they turned out. The team now has a cohesive set of portraits that not only look great on the new website but are also perfect for platforms like LinkedIn. These updated images bring a consistent, professional, and approachable vibe to the brand, making the E.S. Walton team look as polished as the services they provide.
